foodora expands its collaboration with GoCiklo and introduces another 40 environmentally friendly mopeds in Stockholm and Gothenburg
foodora, the leading commerce platform, announces today that it is expanding its successful collaboration with GoCiklo by adding another 40 mopeds with battery swap technology to its fleet in Stockholm and Gothenburg.
The initiative is a step forward in Foodora's endeavor to offer fast deliveries while reducing its environmental footprint. With this addition, foodora will have over 100 GoCiklo vehicles in operation, significantly strengthening its capacity for sustainable deliveries.
- We are happy to be able to expand our collaboration with GoCiklo. With over 100 environmentally friendly vehicles in operation, we can contribute even more to a greener future. Each GoCiklo moped reduces the carbon dioxide impact by up to two tons per year, underlining our commitment to environmentally friendly solutions and sustainability, says Daniel Gustafsson Raba, operations manager foodora.
The new fleet of mopeds with battery swap technology means foodora staff can replace dead batteries in just 10 seconds, ensuring minimal downtime and increasing efficiency. This is particularly important in densely populated areas such as Stockholm and Gothenburg, where fast and reliable deliveries are a top priority for both customers and restaurants.
- foodora's sustainability ambition makes a clear difference in Stockholm and Gothenburg, with less emissions and disturbing engine noise among dense and high-rise buildings. With GoCiklo's infrastructure for quick battery swap around the cities, several companies can follow foodora's good example, says Mattias Tingvall, at GoCiklo
By investing in sustainable technology and expanding its collaboration with GoCiklo, foodora continues to be a leading player in the fast-growing delivery market, with a focus on both customer satisfaction and environmental responsibility.
