GoCimo Launches in Malmö. Battery Swap is Now Available in the Three Largest Cities in Sweden

Malmö, Sweden – March 1, 2024 – GoCimo expands its battery swap service to Malmö, making it the third major Swedish city to adopt this innovative solution. As of March 1, leading delivery platforms Wolt, through their logistics partner AM:365 Group, and Foodora have started using the service to improve delivery efficiency and sustainability.

By transitioning to GoCimo’s battery-swap-enabled mopeds, Wolt and Foodora can use three strategically placed battery swap stations in Malmö. These stations allow them to replace empty batteries with fully charged ones in seconds—faster than refueling a traditional gas-powered moped. This enhances productivity while eliminating tailpipe emissions in the city.

GoCimo has partnered with Malmö Parkering to provide prime locations for the battery swap stations, ensuring food couriers have quick and easy access to the service.

 In Malmö, GoCimo is collaborating with Honda to pilot Honda´s EM1 e: electric moped and Honda’s battery swap station technology for the first time in Europe.

“With our launch in Malmö, GoCimo now provides battery swapping in Sweden’s three largest cities, accelerating the transition to zero-emission urban transport while eliminating the noise and pollution of gasoline mopeds. Following successful rollouts in Stockholm and Gothenburg, the Malmö launch is a key milestone in GoCimo’s mission to establish a professional charging infrastructure for electric light vehicles, reducing emissions and congestion in urban environments.
